The Yankees of the American League East Division under their Manager Joe Girardi are 44-32 on the season. They have won six games in a row, and have been firing on all cylinders. The Mariners of the American League West under their Manager Don Wakamatsu are 39-37 on the year. They are much improved this season, and since getting swept at the Rockies last month are 9-4 recently including last night's loss. Jarrod Washburn (4-5, 3.22) takes the mound for the Mariners this evening. The Lefty has pitched well all season, but has failed to get good run support or defense behind him. Negative trends for the Mariners here include 2-5 as Road Dogs in this Odds range, and 3-10 on the Road when the Total is in this runs range.
